Wednesday Was Day Of Cooler Temperatures ... But Only A Day

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Scattered rain and snow showers - depending on your elevation - were found scattered around the mountains with a few making it to the front range. They were gone quickly and sunshine took over. Loveland did report three inches of new snow and temperatures cold enough to keep their snow guns going. The high in Denver reached just 62 degrees - the coolest high temperature in weeks - but even that was still four degrees above the normal high of 58.

Can't keep that temperature down for long as we warm the high on Thursday to near 70 under mostly sunny skies and then little change for Friday. A system drifting up from the south will push a little moisture back into Colorado to start the weekend, especially south and along the eastern border area...but there is also an outside chance for a stray shower in the greater metro on Saturday with a high in the mid to upper 60s. Sunday will be partly sunny with a high back in the upper 60s with little change on Monday.
