More Wet Weather & Cooler Temperatures

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - More rain showers on Tuesday with the high a bit warmer than Monday's 68, when we reached 77 for the official high at the airport and 75 degrees downtown...still well below the normal high of 89 degrees for this time of year. As we mentioned last week, our weather pattern was changing to this cooler-than-normal and wetter weather pattern and it looks like we'll take it right on into the weekend. So far this month we have recorded 1.71" out at the airport and that is well over an inch above normal for the first 8 days of August. So the weather has turned completely around from our very warm and dry July!

For Wednesday, expect a high near 80 degrees and again with more clouds, showers and storms. Then little change into the weekend: Showers, storms and highs in the lower 80s Thursday through Saturday. Look for only isolated storms Sunday with more sunshine and a high in the low to mid 80s. Isolated storms and mid 80s as we start next week for both Monday and Tuesday. Then fairly dry with partly sunny skies and a high in the low to mid 80s for Wednesday and Thursday.
