Big Temperature Drop This Weekend

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

After tying our all-time daily record high of 105 on Thursday, our temperatures started to fall on Friday. Not a major cool down, we just dipped to the mid 90s.

A cold front will head into Colorado on Friday night and into early Saturday morning, and this will really knock down our temperatures! Highs on Saturday will only reach the mid to upper 70s for the Front Range, while the high country will see some cooler temperatures as well.

With the passing of that front, we may see some storms on Saturday. Some of these could turn severe for eastern Colorado, including Denver.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures are quickly back on Sunday. We'll be in the upper 80s, with the 90s returning on Monday.

Looking ahead to the 4th of July, we are expecting sunshine and hot temperatures.
