More Triple Digit Heat On The Way
DENVER (CBS4) -
Wednesday was the warmest day we've had in Denver since July 19th of last year. We officially hit 101 degrees in Denver!
Overall, it was a dry day but a few isolated storms could still pop into the night for northeastern Colorado. Some of those storms could potentially turn severe.
The heat gets stronger on Thursday, as temperatures could climb to 103 degrees! This would break a daily record high of 99° set on June 28, 1986.
Fire danger will once again be very high with gusty winds and low humidity. Much of western Colorado will be under a Red Flag Warning.
Friday we get a little break from the extreme heat. We'll head back to the mid 90s, with the mid 80s possible again by Saturday.
