Colorado emergency crews respond to I-70 vehicle fire involving hazmat
A vehicle fire involving hazmat late Saturday night forced a partial closure of Interstate 70 overnight east of the Denver metro area.
It happened near Bennett at 11 p.m. and so far the Colorado Department of Transportation hasn't said what might have caused the fire or if anyone was hurt.
The interstate closure remained in effect for the westbound lanes until after daybreak on Sunday. Drivers were being asked to use a detour using Highway 36 through Bennett during the closure.
