3 people hospitalized after motorcycle rear ends truck in Redford Township
An investigation is ongoing after three people were injured when a motorcycle collided with a truck in Redford Township, Michigan, on Thursday night, according to police.
Investigators said a 36-year-old man was operating the motorcycle westbound on Grand River Avenue near Dalby Street with a 39-year-old woman riding as a passenger when the vehicle crashed into the back of the truck.
The motorcycle riders were taken to a hospital with critical injuries, police said. The truck driver, identified by officials as a 28-year-old man, was taken there with minor injuries. All three are cooperating with the investigation.
Neither person on the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to police. Investigators said high speed was a factor.
