Idaho St. Beats Northern Colorado For A 40-26 win
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - Justin Arias threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns as Idaho State defeated Northern Colorado for a 40-26 victory.
The Bengals (3-3, 1-2 Big Sky) rolled up 532 total yards on the Bears (1-6, 0-3) to get their first conference victory in two years. Luke Austin was Arias' favorite target, snagging 8 catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Xavier Finney provided support on the ground, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown.
Arias found the end zone three times in the first half, pushing Idaho State to a 26-17 half time lead. Seth Lobato was able to connect with Jace Davis on a 75-yard score to cut the lead to 37-23 in the third quarter, but the Bears never got closer than 14 points.
Davis finished with 188 yards on six catches. Lobato threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns, but he completed just 19 of his 42 attempts.
