Horse Rescued After Falling Through Basement Window Well
ELBERT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A horse that fell through a basement window well was back on solid ground Monday afternoon.
Crews had to remove portions of a concrete basement to get the sedated animal out. It happened at a home in Elbert County.
The horse, named "Summer," is okay, but she had some scrapes from the fall through the glass window.
The horse was actually standing in one of the rooms in the basement, but couldn't make it up the stairs because she was too big. Crews had to dig a hole to hoist her out of the basement.
