Gov. Hickenlooper To Tie The Knot This Weekend

DENVER (CBS4) - Gov. John Hickenlooper will marry his fiancée Robin Pringle this weekend.

Hickenlooper and Pringle, a Liberty Media business executive, were engaged in December over the holiday season. They will wed in a small ceremony after a month of engagement.

"We had two choices. This is the one weekend in the space of a couple months that we could get hitched. Or if we waited three or four months then we'd end up having a gigantic wedding that would be 500 or 600 people," he said.

The two decided on a low key wedding, Hickenlooper said at a press conference.

"An occasion like that should be something that's powerful and intimate, so that's what we decided to do is seize the moment and do it on very short-term. Most of the people are going to be from out of town and very few people local," said Hickenlooper.
