GOP Chairman Priebus To Celebrate Cinco De Mayo In Colorado

DENVER (AP) — The head of the Republican National Committee will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Colorado.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is scheduled to be in Denver to attend a lunch meeting of Hispanic leaders on May 5. The day is often used to celebrate a victory by the Mexican army over French occupying forces in the 19th century.

Priebus has made outreach to Hispanics a key goal of his tenure. He's expected to appear with Rep. Mike Coffman, who has been studying Spanish and commandingly won re-election in a congressional district that is one-fifth Hispanic.
