Fort Collins Outlaws Dedicate Championship To Teammate With Tumor
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- The Fort Collins Outlaws Junior Pee Wee Football team captured the state championship on Saturday and dedicated their victory to one of their own, who has a tumor.
The team won the game in Thornton on Saturday afternoon. After the game they went to Children's Hospital to rally for a teammate.
Jackson Simpson, 11, was diagnosed Monday with a malignant tumor in his chest.
Right after the game the team held up Simpson's jersey with their championship plaque and said "This one's for Jackson!"
