Fort Collins Man Accused Of Sexual Assault With Underage Girl

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- A woman has come forward to tell her story of sexual abuse and drug use to Fort Collins police, several years after the alleged acts began.

John Trujillo,44, is accused of having a relationship with a teenage girl from the time she was 14 years old until she was 18. The woman is now 20 years old.

Trujillo faces a misdemeanor sexual assault charge and two felonies, for contributing and attempting to contribute to the delinquency of a minor.

She told police that Trujillo provided her with daily drugs, including cocaine, marijuana and heroin.

She told police, "Trujillo has a preference for very young girls and he had a history of dumping them when they turned 18."

That's exactly what she told police happened to her. Trujillo allegedly kicked her out of the house they shared when she turned 18.

According to the arrest affidavit, "When she was in 10th grade, John Trujillo rented an apartment right next door to her school so they could start having sexual intercourse on a daily basis."

Police also said they have letters Trujillo wrote to the girl when she was 16 and living in youth detention. In it, they said Trujillo writes that he is concerned about their 25-year age difference, refers to himself as "Mr. Bad Influence," and a "pervert." He calls his actions "creepy."

Trujillo's first appearance in court is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15.
