Foot Soreness Big Reason Why Manning Doesn't Practice Friday

Sorry, Peyton Manning fans. Your guy really isn't playing Sunday. Gary Kubiak wasn't pulling anyone's leg this week when he insisted Manning won't suit up Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Today, Manning did not participate in the Broncos final practice before Sunday's showdown with the Steelers and Kubiak officially ruled him out for the game.

In fact, Kubiak said Manning had some soreness in his injured left foot this morning and that was a big reason he didn't practice today.

Manning will travel with the team to Pittsburgh and will most likely be on the sideline during the game.

Brock Osweiler will be the Broncos starter with rookie Trevor Semien backing him up.

Safeties T.J. Ward and Omar Bolden and linebacker Lerentee McCray have also all been ruled out of playing on Sunday.

In all, 22 Broncos are listed on the team's injury report, "Half the damn team," as Gary Kubiak described it after listing the whole injured group.
