Family Missing After Camping Trip Found Safe In Longmont
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities have found a family from Weld County who was overdue from a camping trip.
The Hoyt family was last seen on Friday at a campsite above the Camp Dick Campground west of Highway 7 between Ward and Raymond in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Campground.
Search teams started combing the campground looking for them but they were later found in Longmont.
It turns out the family ran out of gas and money and had a hard time getting home. Their cellphone batteries also died, which is why no one had heard from them.
