D.A. Plans To Seek Death Penalty For Man Accused Of Killing Deputy
ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Adams County District Attorney will seek the death penalty for a man charged in the killing of a sheriff's deputy.
Deputy Heath Gumm died in January while responding to an assault near 88th Avenue and Washington Street in Thornton.
Dreion Dearing, 22, is accused in the murder.
District Attorney Dave Young filed notice to seek the death penalty.
