Denver Sheriff Deputy Latasha Betterly-Byrd Honored In Procession
DENVER (CBS4) - Latasha Betterly-Byrd, a deputy with the Denver Sheriff Department, was honored in a procession on Thursday. She was killed in a domestic violence situation earlier in the week.
Authorities said that Betterly-Byrd was a victim in a murder-suicide in Adams County. She had just graduated from the academy in November 2021 and was well respected by her colleagues at the Denver Sheriff Department.
The procession took place from Brighton to Wheat Ridge.
