Denver Police Want Help Locating Wanted Alleged Gang Member

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating a wanted known gang member.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said Ajohntae Hammond, 20, is a known gang member with an extensive criminal history for weapons violations, assaults, eluding, and drugs.

Hammond should be considered armed and dangerous.

"Hammond is currently wanted out of Denver and surrounding jurisdictions for an outstanding traffic warrant, dangerous drugs, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, eluding, false reporting, and sexual assault," Jackson said in a statement.

Hammond is described as a black man, 5-foot-11, 195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is possibly hiding in the Denver or Aurora area.
