Denver Now Has 40 New American Citizens This Independence Day
DENVER (CBS4) - America welcomed 40 new citizens Thursday at an Independence Day celebration in Denver.
The 40 immigrants from 20 countries took the Oath of Allegiance at the Denver City Council chambers Thursday morning.
The ceremony is an annual event welcoming new citizens while celebrating our country's Independence Day.
"I really cannot explain how I'm feeling or what I feel inside, but super happy and super cool," said. Sabrie Omar Elseedah who became a U.S. citizen.
This week more than 4,000 immigrants will become U.S. citizens in more than 50 ceremonies across the country.
