Dead Fish Found Floating In Pond At Golf Course

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Dozens of dead fish floating in a lake at Highland Hills Golf Course are spooking golfers. The fish are the result of a repair project in the lake.

About 60 fish died when crews had to repair a drainage gate in the lake on Thursday, April 14. Crews dug a large hole in the deep area of the lake for a temporary spot for the fish while repairs were completed in the shallow area.

Those fish that didn't make it into the deeper hole beached themselves in the shallow area and could not be saved. Most of the fish survived the repair work.

Crews will be cleaning up the fish on Tuesday.
