Coroner: Woman Was Beaten, Stabbed To Death

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The El Paso County Coroner's Office says a woman who was killed in a Colorado Springs home was beaten and stabbed to death.

Officers who were called to a disturbance at the home Sunday found 37-year-old Alicia Montoya, of Colorado Springs, dead.

Lt. Catherine Buckley says Montoya's husband, 45-year-old Robert Montoya, has been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder, but investigators have not said what led to the attack.

Detectives from the violent crimes unit are investigating.
