Confederate Flag To Be Removed From VA Hospital Mural

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (CBS4)- The image of a confederate flag will be removed from a mural at the VA Hospital in Grand Junction.

The flag is part of a scene in the mural of American military history.

A spokesperson for the hospital said it was actually those higher in the Department of Veterans Affairs who requested the image be removed.

The artist has reluctantly agreed to cover the flag.
