More Storms Possible Tuesday, Then A Big Warm Up

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - After a warm, dry weekend we are seeing storms fire up in Colorado. Some of those storm turned severe earlier today, but they were fairly short lived. Nothing more than ominous clouds for the downtown Denver area, with a high of 86 degrees today.

Tuesday, a cold front comes through and will knock our temperatures down to 76 degrees. The Front Range should be about 10 degrees cooler. More storms possible on Tuesday, with some of them potentially turning severe. The south and eastern part of Colorado has the highest risk of turning severe.

Wednesday brings lower chances for storms, along with the return of the 80s. We'll be warmer, and drier for Thursday with highs in the upper 80s. After that we are in for some real heat with temperatures in the low 90s!! Get ready for a warm up!
