Colorado Roadside Markets Get Federal Boost
DENVER (AP) - More than 120 roadside markets in Colorado could be getting help from the federal government.
Agriculture Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan is in Denver on Thursday to discuss a $10 million program that will provide money for marketing for farmer markets and roadside stands.
The goal of the program is to increase the amount of local produce available to consumers.
