Civic Center Eats Keeps Downtown Denver Full
DENVER (CBS4)- It's the prime place to perch your plate for a picnic- Civic Center Park. "Civic Center Eats" kicked off on Tuesday for the summer food truck season.
The program will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at Civic Center Park through September 26. The program is the largest gathering of Denver's gourmet food trucks.
But there's much more than just food that's attracting people to the gathering place.
"You get pretty much all walks of life out here. You get corporate people, you get people who live in the area who come down to check out the gourmet sandwiches, the food trucks, the vendors, the live music," said Uber Sausage employee Gene Smith.
The Civic Center Conservancy sponsors the event. A portion of the proceeds go toward sprucing up the park.
