Cigarette Blamed For Fire At Auto Shop In Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - A cigarette is to blame for a fire that tore through a Denver auto shop Sunday afternoon.

The fire happened at Saul's Automotive located at 2130 South Bellaire Street. A worker was draining gasoline from a vehicle into a bucket when someone lit a cigarette nearby and the worker's pants caught on fire.

The worker ran inside to get an extinguisher but accidentally spread the fire to the building.

Incredibly, the man did not he suffer any burns but the shop and several vehicles inside were damaged.
