Butterball Turkey Facility In Longmont To Close In December
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- The Butterball turkey facility in Longmont will close on Dec. 31 this year.
About 350 people work at the plant located about an hour north of the Denver metro area.
The reasons given for the closure are increased grain and other costs and that the company wants to streamline operations.
Butterball is the largest producer of turkey products in the U.S.
