Busy Week At Capitol Includes Debates On Social & Gun Issues

DENVER (CBS4) - It will be a busy week at the state Capitol with plenty of social and gun issues up for debate.

The House proposals include a bill addressing how schools deal with students who are chronically absent. Another is a measure to encourage classroom discussions on creationism and evolution.

Lawmakers will also take the first committee vote on a House bill to expand sex education in public schools.

Democrats are also set to unveil a comprehensive package of gun bills.
