Broncos Trail Patriots 14-7 At Halftime, Ward & Williams Suffer Ankle Injuries
DENVER (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - The Broncos trail the Patriots 14-7 at halftime.
Both T.J. Ward and Sylvester Williams were injured at the end of the first quarter on the same play. They were carted to the locker room with ankle injuries and are questionable to return.
The Patriots were able to capitalize on an interception of Brock Osweiler that gave them the ball at the Broncos' 16 yard line. Tom Brady once again hooked up with a tight end for a touchdown. This time it was Scott Chandler. Rob Gronkowski caught the first one in the first quarter.
Ronnie Hillman got the Broncos on the board with a 19-yard touchdown run.
Broncos guard Louis Vasquez had to leave the game with a groin injury near the end of the half. His status for the rest of the game isn't known.
