Broncos Get Ready for Final 5 Games Of Regular Season
Broncos getting set for the final 5 games of the season (3 of which are against AFC West teams). Broncos have a 3 game lead over the Chiefs, 4 games over the Raiders.
Brock Osweiler the starting QB again this week. That question may open up again next week, but for now, Manning still not at practice. Osweiler has been hit a lot the last 2 games, interesting to see if they can get veteran Christian Ponder ready to be a backup this week, or stick with rookie Trevor Siemian.
Practice participation during open media portion:
DeMarcus Ware (back) back at practice today after missing the last 3 games.
No TJ Ward or Sylvester Williams, both with ankle injuries.
Louis Vasquez (groin) at practice but just watching.
Cody Latimer not at practice during open portion, not sure why.
Broncos Awards today:
C.J. Anderson named AFC offensive player of the week today for his performance against New England: 113 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards, 2 TDs.
-2nd weekly award for Anderson (2014-week 17)
-Back to back weeks for Broncos offensive players to win award (Brock Osweiler - week 11)
-5th weekly award for Broncos this season (Derek Wolfe (week 8), T.J. Ward (4), Aqib Talib (1).)
David Bruton named the 2015 Denver Broncos Walter Payton Man of the Year, for his leadership on the field and in the community. His charity Bruton's Books support reading and literacy for underprivileged kids in grades K-3.
