Boulder Residents May Soon Have To Tax For Transportation
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Families and businesses in Boulder may soon have to pay an annual tax to help pay for transportation.
City authorities say they need another $3 million just to maintain streets and bridges at current levels. Because of that the city council is considering charging each household $24 a year.
Businesses would pay an average of $327, but that amount would vary depending on a company's size.
Council members will decide later this year whether to put the idea before voters.
