Boulder Boy Sells Lemonade To Raise Awareness Of Childhood Cancer
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A glass of lemonade helps raise awareness for childhood cancer.
"Lemonade Days" started Saturday. It's a three day event to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Volunteers from all over the country host lemonade stands, including in Colorado. This year 5-year-old Joesph Wibbeler wants to make a difference for children who are sick. He hosted his first stand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Boulder on Saturday.
The idea was founded by Alex Scott, a young cancer patient who lost her battle with the disease in 2004.
Each year volunteers raise more than $1 million for cancer research.
