Black Hills Energy Gets Colorado Wind Project
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Electric has received approval from the Colorado Public Utilities Commission to build a 29 megawatt wind project near Pueblo.
The Colorado PUC approved a settlement which allows Black Hills Energy to build and own 50 percent of the wind project with an investment of more than $26 million.
Vice president Christopher Burke says the wind farm location in Huerfano County south of Pueblo was chosen for its abundant wind resources and access to the company's existing transmission system.
