Beaver Creek Fire Grows To 13,275 Acres
WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- The Beaver Creek Fire burning in Northern Colorado near the Wyoming state line has grown to 13,275 acres but fire crews say it hasn't burned with the intensity as seen in days prior.
Helicopters used aerial ignitions as ground crews assisted with ignition of unburned fuels to help defend structures.
Overnight rain did not suppress the fire but did temporarily decrease fire intensity.

Fire crews continue to work to protect the five dozen threatened structures in the area.
