Basketball Player Looks Ahead After Battle With Lymphoma

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Garrett Karp is looking ahead to the future. He spent most of his senior year in high school in the hospital getting chemotherapy and finally a bone marrow transplant.

Garrett isn't on the court this year. He's behind the camera, videotaping the action and looking through a different lens at life.

"I was ready to go day to day, nothing serious in my mind. Ever since that happened, you've got to get your priorities straight.

For a year and a half, his only priority was surviving. He used sports to get him through the really low days.

"I just wanted to see myself dunking again," said Garrett.

Garrett is planning to go to college and hopefully incorporate sports back into his life.

"You've got to enjoy every moment," said Garrett.
