Avalanche Sign Goalie Pickard Through 2017-18
DENVER (The Sports Xchange) - Colorado on Tuesday signed goaltender Calvin Pickard to a two-year contract through the 2017-18 season.
Pickard, 24, split this past season between the Avalanche and the club's American Hockey League affiliate in San Antonio.
He posted a 7-6-1 record with a 2.56 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage and one shutout in 20 games with the Avs. He started 13 of those games.
Pickard fashioned a 9-8-4 record with a 2.75 goals-against average with one shutout for San Antonio.
He was a second-round pick in the 2010 draft.
