Attempted Abduction Suspect Mug Shot Released

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder have released the mug shot of a man arrested as a suspect in an attempted abduction of three boys. Lwanga Basudde was taken into custody after a disturbance at the Carriage House Day Shelter Thursday afternoon.

Officers who detained Basudde, 40, realized he looked like the man in a composite sketch, wanted in an abduction attempt on Monday.

Three boys said a man approached them as they exited a school bus near Ninth and Mapleton. The suspect allegedly grabbed one boy by the arm, but the child managed to escape.

Basudde is facing charges that include attempted second degree kidnapping.
