3 Injured After Crash, Shooting At Fort Carson
FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) -- Fort Carson officials say three people are injured after a traffic accident on the Army post sparked a shooting.
Army officials say a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home on the post around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, injuring a woman inside. Officials say the woman's spouse fought with the driver and fired a gun, striking the driver twice and himself once.
None of the injuries was believed to be life-threatening. Fort Carson officials say all three people were in stable condition Thursday at a hospital. Their names weren't released.
Fort Carson officials say the driver and the person who fired the gun are both soldiers.
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division was reviewing the case.
