Matt Reum will continue healing at home, and will also undergo outpatient physical rehabilitation at Memorial Hospital, Beacon Health System reported.
Matt Reum was trapped for six days in a wrecked pickup truck in Portage, Indiana.
Reum met the fishermen who found him under Interstate 94 on Tuesday, Dec. 26 - and the firefighters and paramedics from the Portage Fire Department who rescued him.

"My surgery has gone well enough, and I'm healing strong enough from that to where I can start working on getting back into society," said Reum, who is recovering from having a leg amputated.
