A shooting on the West Side prompted a lockdown at an elementary school in the North Lawndale neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Someone smashed out windows at Charles Hughes Elementary School, 4247 W. 15th St., around 1 a.m. Monday, and stole 123 iPads valued at approximately $70,000.
