Lots that sat empty for decades on the West Side of Chicago have been filled with single-family homes thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
They spent Saturday putting the final touches on the homes, focusing on painting, flooring, cabinetry, and landscaping.
These affordable homes will be near Ferdinand and Lockwood. The nonprofit says construction of the first three homes in Austin is expected to be completed by next year.
