The two incidents on the 200 block of West 23rd Street were among at least a half dozen robberies in the area in the last two weeks.

The day's latest homicide happened at 6:03 p.m. in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.
The burglary happened between 3:30-5:30 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 1200 block of West 35th Street, according to Chicago Police.
There were at least three carjackings in a span of two hours in Chicago overnight, and at least one of them might be connected to a carjacking in Cicero.
Police said the carjacker took the family on a terrifying 45-minute drive, before leaving them unharmed in Chicago.

In the most recent shooting, a 35-year-old man was shot multiple times about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

In each incident, a weapon was shown before the victim's vehicle was stolen, according to Chicago Police.
Maurice M. Strickland Jr. was charged Thursday with felony counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.
The latest incident happened Thursday, when robbers armed with a handgun walked into a restaurant in the 1000 block of West Belmont.
"The juvenile did not possess any weapons and took no further steps to carry out the posted threat," police said.
"I defeated him. I took him down. He may have tried to do whatever he could to me, but ultimately in the end, I won," Melissa Schuster said.
Wednesday's latest shooting happened about 8:45 p.m. during a robbery in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
In eight incidents, the suspects approached a victim, produced a handgun and forcibly demanded property, police said.
The shoplifters filled two laundry baskets with over-the-counter medicine, and pushed them out of the store in a shopping cart.
