Warm Sunny Saturday For Chicago Area

(CBS) -- The Chicago area will continue to experience unusually warm temperatures Saturday, with winds dying down significantly from Friday.

Saturday's high is 56, well above the normal high of 37 for this time of year with clear sunny skies and winds around 15 miles per hour. Clouds are expected to move into the area late in the evening, with the temperature dipping to 35 degrees.

The clouds will remain through the day on Sunday, with a high of 42.

Friday, extreme high winds knocked out power and toppled trees around the area and forced the CTA to cut service on parts of the Green and Pink lines. On Saturday, the Green and Pink lines were restored to full service.

As of 3:25 p.m., ComEd says about 2,000 people are still without power, with service restored to more than 230,000 customers.
