17-Year-Old Boy Shot And Killed In Norwood Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teenager has died after being found shot in the parking lot of a dental office in the Norwood Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Chicago Police say the 17-year-old boy was shot in the chest at 5500 N. Harlem around 1:11 p.m. and taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in critical condition and later died.

A dental office is located at 5511 N. Harlem and two employees of that dental office tell WBBM they were told they couldn't go in an out of the office because of the police investigation.

The dental office is located next door to a Taco Burrito King restaurant which is open 24 hours and a dental office employees tells WBBM Chicago Police were looking at surveillance video from the restaurant's cameras.
