A robbery targeting a delivery driver on Chicago's West Side ended with a police chase and arrests in the south suburbs.

Chicago Police said at 1:43 p.m., a man was driving to make a delivery in the 800 block of North Spaulding Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, when two men came up and robbed him.

The robbers then fled in a stolen Infiniti, and headed several miles south and east to 74th Street and St. Lawrence Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing community. There, at least one of the robbers took out a handgun and fired shots into a home, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The robbers fled and made it farther south still to the 0-99 block of Central Avenue in south suburban Matteson, where they were stopped by Illinois State Police.

The robbers tried to run off, but all were arrested, police said. A gun was recovered.

Charges were pending late Monday.
