CHICAGO (CBS)-- Red Oak Elementary School in north suburban Highland Park was evacuated for the second day in a row due to a bomb threat that ended up being false.
North Shore School District 112 said students and staff at the school were relocated to a safe space after the school received a bomb threat Friday morning, and parents would be sent information about pick-up and dismissal.
Students and staff at neighboring Sherwood Elementary were remaining inside on Friday as a precaution. All other District 112 schools were operating normally.
Police said a search of the building on Friday turned up no credible threat.
