Rain, showers throughout the day Thursday in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — Cool northeast winds and periods of steady rain taper off late Thursday night, and more pleasant weather will follow Friday through the weekend.
Friday's temperatures will warm into the 60s, and the weather will be mainly dry. However, with a northwesterly flow aloft, we cannot rule out a few isolated showers late in the day.
Those with plans late Friday night should know a quick-hitting round of thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. is expected, some of which may contain gusty winds and small hail.
Your latest forecast shows that Mother's Day weekend is trending nicer, with only a slim 10% chance of rain each day. Afternoon temperatures will warm significantly on Sunday, potentially reaching 80 degrees in some areas.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with rain tapering off. Low: 47
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with an isolated late-day shower. High: 66
