CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police in northwest suburban Elgin are investigating a Thanksgiving shooting.

A male was found with gunshot wounds about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Chicago Street, according to a statement from Elgin police. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was taken to Presence Saint Joseph's Hospital in Elgin.
