(CBS) Northwestern is planning a new design for its basketball court at Welsh-Ryan Arena and one of their proposed designs is mostly purple.

Last year Oregon unveiled a unique design that encompassed the entire court, but Northwestern would be taking it to a new level by having most of the court painted purple.

The mostly-purple design is one of four the school has posted on its Facebook page. It is asking for feedback from fans on the four designs and will pick a winner in mid-August, according to its Web site.

Boise State started the trend in football with its blue playing surface and Eastern Washington followed suit last year when it unveiled its red football field.
