CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in the head Thursday evening in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting–which may have been gang-related–happened about 7:25 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Damen Avenue, according to preliminary information from police.

Alvin Vincent Randolph was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 8:09 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Randolph was killed on the block where he lived, authorities said.
