A man was found shot dead in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood Monday morning, police said.

At 6 a.m., police found the 38-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head in the 10900 block of South State Street.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting that killed the man were under investigation, police said.

No one was in custody Monday morning.
